Re: Application Manager updated to Creative Cloud?

Revv let me test this and get back to you.  I have put this down as a to do item to respond to this thread with the results.  It should be possible but I do want to verify that the Adobe Application Manager is not removed if you do so.

Do you know how you'd run the Reset "<Workspace>" command?

app.executeCommand(app.findMenuCommandId('Reset \"Standard\"'));

doesn't seem to work.

As per the tele conversation with Lee I asked him to download Creative Cloud Desktop app from creative.adobe.com and using Creative Cloud Desktop app Lee was able to install the software.

Software got installed sucessfully and working fine.

Re: InDesign crash when updated from InCopy

We have recently switched to IC/ID 6 and everything seems to be stable. One thing I noticed from the InCopy side though (IC 5.5 and 6 both), is that sometimes when I check in stories and prepare to exit the program, I would click on "File" and notice that "Save All Content" is still able to be selected. I started checking if it was available to be clicked (not greyed out) every time before I closed the program, and most of my crashes went away. (If it was available, I clicked "Save All Content".)

It seems odd that you would have to "Save All Content" after checking everything in, though. Checking in is supposed to save the content. This would happen even if I only checked out one story. Sometimes it's available, sometimes not. If it's available, I click it. Couldn't hurt.

I realize we have reached the realm of computer voodoo and superstition at this point, but it seems to work. I also make three circles around the file icon with my mouse before opening them, just in case. Just kidding. Good luck though.

As far as I've been able to learn, there really isn't an easy way. The one connection is actually the FMLE connection to the server.

Thanks for the follow up. Just wanted to ask "Did you find a file in Premiere Elements 11 Mac named ElementsOrganizerSyncAgent.exe and was that the process that you clicked Quit to? If not, what process did you click Quit to?

Also, do you have any other version of Premiere Elements on your Mac computer besides version 11?

Apple ID? Unless that's a typo that's you problem right there.

BTW, if it is a typa and you're sharing with Adobe IDs, they need to

actually sign into the Adobe Content Viewer with that ID after verifying

it by signing in at digitalpublishing.acrobat.com.

Adobe Right Side Bookmarks?

0
0

Hello,

I am using Adobe Acrobat X Standard and attempting to create a "handbook" for my boss.  I inserted bookmarks and was quite pleased with myself until he asked if the bookmarks couldn't appear on the "right" side of the page rather than the left since what he envisions is kind of like a "binder".

I don't think this is possible but I am certainly not an expert so I was hoping for either a confirmation that it is not possible or that some kind person must show me how if it is.

Thank you so much for any help/suggestions.

Is there still a limit on Creative Cloud activations?

I have two Macs and one Windows machine.  Can I activate Creative Cloud on all three?  I can't find the current limit, so forgive me if this has already been asked!

FAQ: How do I share files in Revel?

A: Sharing a link to an album:

(Currently there is not a way to create or use a personalized URL link like there was in Photoshop.com.

http://www.photoshop.com/users/yourname. This feature request has been submitted to the development team for consideration.)

To share an album on the Mac, iPad, andor iPhone, you click on the icon of the people peopleshare.jpg and then get the link.

- Copy the link: This will copy the link to your clipboard so you can paste it into an email or post

- View in Browser: Selecting this will open a new browser window  to your album, showing you exactlly what the user you share with would see. You can copy the URL link to share with others.

- Allow Downloads: This will allow others to download the image. Set it to off to restrict others from downloading and only viewing the image.

-Send Email: (Ipad and Iphone option)  This option creates an email and inserts the link and a message for you so you can share quickly.

Sharing on Mac

click on the icon of the people peopleshare.jpg and then get the link.

Sharing on iPad and iPhone

click on the icon of the people peopleshare.jpg and then get the link.

PC: Sharing images in the web browser for Adoberevel.com

Click on "Albums" then select the album that you would like to share.

Then click "Share" to share the entire album with others

delete share or add pix to album on pc.jpg

Click "View Share" as this will open in a new tab.

In order for you to share your images with others you will need to copy the URL link as shown below

To highlight the URL and copy it (cmd + c on mac, ctrl + c on pc) and then past it into an email (cmd + v on mac, ctrl + v on pc)

Copy the link to paste into an email, or a Facebook post which you can send to multiple people to view your photos.

When you stop sharing:

If you have shared an album and decide to select "Stop Sharing", then link for your shared album is no longer valid. Users that you sent it to can no longer see the photos. IF you share again, you will get a new URL.  Each time an album is shared, the link to the shared album is a unique.

Example of a link: https://www.adoberevel.com/shares/6c2fc565284840d4bfb1c044089a7135.

IF you select ""Stop Sharing"  then the album is no longer shared.  The image below is what others will see if they try to view a link that is no longer shared.

Sharing your images to Facebook

There are a few ways to share your photos on Facebook.

  1. You can download your images from your Revel account to your computer then upload them to Facebook manually if you don't have an Ipad or Iphone.
  2. You can login to your Revel account on an iPad or iPhone.
  3. When viewing your images in the library click on the action menuicon.jpg icon. Select your images, then select "Send" as you will see Facebook as an option. You can select multiple images to upload. You will see a dialog box asking permission to access your account to upload pictures to your Facebook account. You may need to sign into your account. If you are already signed in to your facebook account on your iPad or iPhone, then you will not need to login.

The images are uploaded into an album titled "Adobe Revel Photos"

You can view a single image then click action menuicon.jpg to select Facebook to upload the image.

Collaborative Sharing of Libraries

(sometimes referred to as authenticated sharing)

This feature can only be accessed by a Revel Premium user. Premium users have the ability to create additional libraries, and the option to maintain them collaboratively with selected trusted users. It is used to allow multiple users to login to Revel and access a "shared" library. The premium user adds the other users to his/her sharing list and those users then will see the shared library when they login to their accounts. They can add and edit files, and remove files that they have added, but can not delete files that others have added.

To enable collaborative sharing,

ON the iPhone

click on the gear (settings) icon.  If you are in a library or album, then click the icon of 3 parallel lines to get to where you can select the gear.

In SETTINGS,  click the blue circle that is around the ">" symbol next to the name of the library that you want to share.

In the SHARING WITH  section, click on the "+" in the green circle to add a user. Just insert their email  (adobeID)  that they use for logging into Revel.  This will share the library with them and it will appear in their library list as a shared library when they login.
